Montgomery Man Charged in Child Beating Death
A Montgomery man is charged with beating his girlfriend’s child to death. The victim is identified as 5-year-old Zaryen Adair. Latravis Wright, 23, is accused of injuring Adair Wednesday afternoon at an apartment in the 500 block of Eastdale Rd. Police say the child was rushed to a Montgomery hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later taken to the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham where he was pronounced dead. Police say the boy was left in Wright’s care at the time of the incident. Wright is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
