Red Cross in Need of Donors During Summer Months

The summer months often bring an increased need for blood donors.
Many people who normally give blood are out of town on vacation or occupied with various other activities. According to the Red Cross, on average there are two less people giving blood per blood drive during the summer months.
But while the supply of blood goes down the need is always there.
Alabama News Network is partnering with the Red Cross to help boost the summer blood supply.
Join us for our “Blood Donor Block Party” next Thursday, July 16th at Eastdale Mall in Montgomery.
The blood drive will last from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM. There will be food, prizes, t-shirts and more. So come on out and help give the gift of life.
