It may be mid-July– and a hot one at that! But the sights and sounds of football are in full play at Cramton Bowl for the AHSAA All-Stars.

It was “North” versus “South” on the field with players from all across Alabama while their families and friends came to cheer on their favorite players.

The Ozmint family brought a whole section to watch the game.

“He’s excited to get on team it’s always special to play that next game and for so many of these guys it will be their last game,” said father Lee Ozmint.

Even grandparents came to watch.

“All the different players from different parts of the state meet each other and make good friendships. That’s good,” said grandfather Nick.

On the “South” side, player CaMarcus Williams had his cheering section, along with matching shirts.

“We had these shirts made when he graduated in 2015 from Central High School of Phenix City. We had a graduation party and we wanted to come out again and have the opportunity to wear his shirts again,” said his mother Sonya Jenkins.

Some were just football fans…

“To watch that young man number 29 from Stanhope Elmore. The reason why? I was told he was a good player,” said Christopher Lambert.

Even though the july heat was in full effect, people we talked to say they were just enjoying the opportunity to see their favorites play with the All-Stars.
