A multi million dollars renovation is now complete at Montgomery County’s Youth Facility.

Originally built in 1969, the facility was in dire needs of repairs and upgrades when the county commission voted to approve a $10,000,000 construction project in 2013.

Two years later, that project finished and $2,000,000 under the orginal budet.  The upgrades include a new roof, heating and air system, fire alarm system, flooring and security monitoring system.

It’s all designed to provide a better work environment for those helping youthful offenders learn how to be law abiding adults.

Besides housing youthful offenders the facility is also home to the Montgomery County Family Court.
