Catching Up with Former American Idol Finalist Jess Meuse

American Idol finalist Jessica Meuse recently won another competition in California.
Life is busy for her these days, but she took some time to drop by our station recently.
Jess says she was chosen to be one of seven finalist in the “Texaco Music Showdown” in Indio, California. And the Slapout resident came home with a win.
“It was a regional event, and I won it, which was really cool. I get to go on to the finals, the Texaco Music Showdown. And I could win enough to fund my EP and just go out and do it because that’s what it comes down to– to do something that big because I’m such a perfectionist,” said Jess.
Jess will be partnering with the Joy to Life Foundation, along with us Alabama News Network for an event this fall to benefit breast cancer research. We’ll have more details on that in the coming weeks.
