Local Church Gives Back to Students
With the school year fast approaching, one local Church is making sure Montgomery kids are hitting the books with the supplies they need.
First Congregational Church gave away two hundred and fifty bookbags to elementary, middle, and high school students.Â
This is the second year the church has given away the bookbags.
Each bag was filled with supplies like notebooks, pencils, and crayons.
Church leaders say they want to make sure kids and teenagers are able to get a head start on the upcoming school year.Â
The church also gave out sandwiches and chips that were donated by Subway.
