Montgomery, AL – Alabama linebacker Shaun Hamilton was back in Montgomery this past weekend to help with the first annual Billy Gresham Youth Football Camp.
“Just coming back and giving back to the community and seeing kids who have the same aspirations that I had when I was a little kid one upon a time, and just helping them out and helping them get closer to their dreams means a lot,” said the former Carver Woulverine grad.
Hamilton played under Carver head football coach Billy Gresham. He was a four-star recruit and was an early enrollee for the Crimson Tide, after joining the squad in January 2014.
Hamilton will challenge for a role at inside linebacker for the Crimson Tide in 2015. He played in all 14 games as a true freshman in 2014 and made three tackles on special teams.
“It’s always great when football season comes around. I’m looking forward to the season this year. Coach Saban is a great coach. He’s a great man on and off the field. He’s the kind of guy who always wants the best for you so I learned a lot from him,” Hamilton said.
