Selma City Schools Faculty & Staff Ready for New School Year

From the West Alabama Newsroom–  Teachers and staff at Selma City Schools are back on the job — and they’re ready to kick-off a new school year with a new superintendent.

Selma City Schools held its annual Employee Institute Day today at Selma High School.

Superintendent Dr. Angela Mangum says the faculty and staff is fired up — and ready for the new school year. She says student achievement will be a top priority.

“We are ready,” said Mangum. “The staff and the principals and the district level and support staff have been working incredibly hard over the summer to ensure that the first day of school is seamless and that everything is in place to ensure that our children are welcomed and they have the things that they need in order to have a great year.”

Students head back to school Thursday, August 6th.
