The opening of Pike Road School is just a few days away, and teachers and administrators are making final preparations for the big day. One of the biggest concerns for the school is fear of overcrowding. School officials are expecting more than a thousand students from grades K thru 8th grade. School Superintendent Dr. Suzanne Freeman says the school has all hands on deck when it comes to meeting the demand of having a large amount of students at the school. Alabama News network will be at Pike road live for Pike Road Student’s first day Thursday morning at five and six on Alabama News Network.
