Finding solutions to some of the toughest issues facing Alabama was the topic today at the state capitol.
It was part of the 2015 Solutions Alabama Program hosted by Auburn Montgomery through its Certified Public Managers Program.
Groups in the program announced their findings and recommendations on four critical needs in the state. They include better ways to employ people with disabilities, autism in Alabama, better management of state property and a heroin crisis in the state.
The program’s director says the program allow these managers to rethink their approaches to leadership which creates better work environments and productivity.
“They are learning everything about managing public organizations, dealing with difficult people, performance coaching, developing their own teams of employees and being the best leaders the can possibly be,” said the programs director, Leslie Meadows.
The Certified Public Manager Program at AUM has been training leaders across Alabama for nearly 30 years.
