Montgomery Police Make Murder Arrest
Montgomery police have made an arrest in a man’s shooting death.
Police say 24-year-old Marquis Martin of Montgomery is charged with one count of murder. He is charged with the June 3 shooting death of 44-year-old Luke Nelson Taylor of Montgomery.
Martin is in the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he is being held under a $75,000 bond.

Police and Fire Medics responded to Ivy Lane at the Southern Boulevard at about 9:25 p.m. June 3 after getting a call about a person in the roadway. There, they say they found Taylor, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say their initial investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from an argument.Â
