Red Tails Looking for Jet Upgrade

The Montgomery Based Air National Guard is looking to make Jet Upgrades, If that doesn’t happen jobs could be at stake for the guard.
The 187th fighter wing applied for the new F-35 Jet. Only two fighter units out of 26 will receive the new jets. Montgomery Congressional Delegation sent a letter to Air Force Secretary Deborah James Lee
explaining how important it is for the air national guard to have the new jet. If the base doesn’t receive the upgrade 14 hundred jobs are at stake, possibly eliminating the Red Tails. Officials say its important to have the upgrades, not only because of jobs, but also because of the history of the Red Tails.
