Tuskegee University students now have a new way to get around campus. Today, the university launched its bike share program.
This is a partnership with Regions Bank.
The company donated 10 bikes that students can rent for free. The bikes can be checked out for eight-hour increments and can be ridden around the 5,000 acre campus.
Maliq Kendricks, SGA President, Tuskegee University Senior said, “We have 5,000 acres of land here so it’s a pretty large institution. So bringing this bike share opportunity will truly make us healthier and help us to commute around campus in a more effective way.”
The bikes are available at the Office of Student Life and Development in Tompkins Hall.
