From the West Alabama Newsroom–  There are new developments in the story of a lost and wayward goat seen roaming around the town of Pine Hill for the last few weeks.

Town officials say reports of goat sightings have continued — but they now know who the animal belongs to.

Owner James Crawford says he had four goats to escape and run off — trying to get away from a coyote. He says one goat is back home.

Another goat was caught over the weekend by Dylan Averitt and his friends Wade and Zane Westbrook.

“I was the one grabbed him,” said Averitt. “They pushed in and worked him around the building there and I run him out from up under a rack and when he did — I grabbed him by the horns. He was a little bit stronger than I suspected but we handled him,” he said.

If you spot one of the other missing animals — call Pine Hill Police Department at (334) 963-4588.
