U.S. Marshal Art Baylor Announces Retirement
Alabama News Network has confirmed that U.S. Marshal Art Baylor will be retiring later this month.
Baylor’s retirement date is September 25.
He was nominated by President Obama in September 2010 to serve the Middle District of Alabama. It will be up to the President to choose his replacement.
Previously, Baylor was Montgomery’s police chief for six years.
