From the West Alabama Newsroom–  The concerned parents of two female students at Linden High School say something needs to be done about bullying at the school.

The women each have a daughter who is new at the school and they say both have been the victim of bullying.

Bullying is a serious problem in schools all over the country. And some experts say the physical and emotional scars that can result from bullying — can last far beyond childhood.

The women say school officials need to step up and put a stop to the bullying — before things escalate out of control.

“Because it may not have happened in Alabama yet that somebody is going to come to school and you know — do something drastic but it still may, you know, and that’s what we don’t to happen,” said Maria King.”

School officials say they are looking into the matter — and plan to meet with everyone involved to try and resolve the issue.
