Madison Park Community Re-Union Organization
The Madison Park Community Re-Union Organization Inc., a 501 (c) 3 organization, will host a public forum that will provide an opportunity for the two candidates who will face each other in a “Run off” Election for the District (2) City Council position on the Montgomery City Council to present themselves and field questions from residents of District 2. 501 (c) 3 Organizations are prohibited from participating in partisan politics. However, the hosting of non-partisan public forums fall within the guidelines. Both candidates have been extended an invitation to attend. Candidate Brantley Lyons has accepted our invitation and will be in attendance. Candidate Ian Maloy did not accept our invitation and will not be in attendance. The public forum will be held on September 15th at 6:00 O‘clock p.m. in the formerly Madison Park School building auditorium located at 3245 Old Wetumpka Hwy., Montgomery, Alabama 36110. A member of the organization will serve as moderator. Cold bottled water will be provided for all attendees. The “Run off” Election will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
