Troy Increasing Security After Two Assaults Reported

Two assaults reported on Troy University’s campus have students and faculty on edge and increasing security.
Both assaults happened on the Shackelford Quad.
The university setup added lighting and is increasing its police presence.

This comes after a girl reported last week a white man grabbed her at her car. She reportedly sprayed him with pepper spray and he ran.
Then this past Tuesday a man reported two black males assaulted him and stole twenty dollars.
These cases have students on edge and university leaders reminding students to be aware of their surroundings.So far no suspects have been identified. But university leaders do not believe they’re connected.
