Montgomery Eliminating Remaining Recycling Bins in City

There’s some big changes you need to know about when it comes to recycling in the city of Montgomery.
All of the city’s remaining drop-off recycling containers, will be permanently removed by the end of the month.
According to the Montgomery Clean City Commission, the change is due to illegal dumping in the containers. Some of the illegal dumping including furniture and dead animal bodies.
Residents are reminded that you can place all household garbage and recyclables into your green roll-out container.
Those items are then taken to the city’s Materials Recovery Facility where the are separated and recycled.
