Tom Brokaw Speaks at Faulkner Benefit

A prominent national news anchor was in Montgomery.

Tom Brokaw was the featured speaker at Faulkner University’s annual fundraiser.
It was a sell out crowd, thousands of people were in attendance.

Brokaw spent more than two decades as the anchor for NBC’s Nightly News. He spoke for about 45 minutes and his speach centered around the greatest generation, a term coined by Brokaw describing the people during World War Two.

Haley Scott, a Faulkner Alum said, “Such a big deal for the University because he is such a good influence on our students and I know that he can really look up to him and his success and really see someone they can aspire to be and I think that’s important for them.”

Proceeds primarily benefit student scholarships at Faulkner.
