Thousands Enjoy Alabama News Network Kids Day at Central AL Fair in Selma

From the West Alabama Newsroom–  Central Alabama Fair in Selma kicks into high gear with Alabama News Network Kids Day.

Fair manager John Haskel says there’s plenty to see and do at the Central Alabama Fair this year.

He says there are nearly two dozen rides — and all kinds of games and prizes.

He says there are also arts and crafts exhibits — live performances — pageants — and even a petting zoo.

And then of course, there’s the food. Cotton candy, candy applles, all kinds of funnel cakes and a whole lot more.

Haskel says its clean, family fun for everyone.

“We got stuff for the small kids, we got stuff for the medium size kids we even got stuff for the older generation. Its a clean environment, its a safe environment. Everybody comes out, I think has a good time,” he said.

Admission into the fair was free  from 2 to 8 pm with the donation of a canned food product.
