Annual Capital City Chili Cook-Off Benefits Lions Club

Fall is here, which is the perfect time of the year to eat chili, and today the Montgomery Lions Club held its Annual Capital City Chili Cook-Off.

Dozens of teams from businesses, to organizations, and restaurants competed to be the best in various categories such as best poultry, best beef, and the people’s choice award.

Our own Stefanie Hicks was even a judge. The chili cook off is one of the top fundraiser for the Lions Club, and helps them raise money for the numerous charities they support throughout the year.

The Montgomery lions club raised about 20,000 dollars every year from the chili cook off.
