Rep. Terri Sewell Hosts Annual Veterans Resource Fair in Marengo Co.

From the West Alabama Newsroom–  Congresswoman Terri Sewell hosts 2nd Annual Veterans Resource Fair in Marengo Co.

The annual resource fair brings organizations and agencies that provide assistance to veterans together under one roof.

Information about everything from VA benefits to health and housing issues was available at the event.

“We have a lot of veterans in the rural areas that have no idea the kind of services that are out there for them,” said Army veteran Rudell Giles.

“Like the homeless veterans thing, they don’t know that they find houses for them. Or you know if they have claims, they don’t even know if they can put in a claim, but they have the people here that can help them.”

Congresswoman Sewell said bringing these resources to veterans — is a small way to thank them for their service to the country.
