The sights and sounds of Christmas filled downtown Montgomery as
the Capital City parade made its way down Dexter Avenue.
Kids of all ages bundled up for big event.
They got to see their favorite characters and even pet a horse.
Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham took to the Sheriff’s office float engaging the crowd with music.
Alabama News Network also had a float in the parade along with some familiar faces waving and passing out candy.
Some came to see family…
“I came to see my niece in the parade,” said one parade watcher.
Others are just enjoying it all.
“My favorite thing is everybody celebrating,” said one young girl.
We even ran into the mayor along the parade route waiting on a very special person in the parade.
“A beautiful night..waiting for Santa Claus! Got all these kids here expecting him. He’ll be here in 30 minutes!” said Mayor Todd Strange.
