Troy Residents Give Prayers for the New Year
Another Sunday at the Vine Church and like most, they’re already looking forward to the new year with a list of prayers.
“The troops…Last couple weeks ago we lost the most we’ve lost in three years, their families, as well as the homeless,” says Agnes Gable.
Some say they’re also continually praying for those affected by recent flooding in surrounding areas and a closer walk in their faith.

Becoming more visible in the community with outreach and welcoming new members to the church is also important for many.
“Our hearts for our church…salvation. We want to get people to the door,” says Marilyn Thompson.
As for resolutions.
“Why put off tomorrow what you could do today? But if you want to start it tomorrow, I’m behind you a hundred percent start it tomorrow but when tomorrow comes, don’t put it off for the next day,” says J.R Peterson.
