A Rainy Period Ahead

RAIN RETURNS:  Once again moisture is on the increase and we are headed toward a rainy weather pattern.  We will see widespread rain develop overnight and that will continue through the day on Wednesday. You are going to need the rain gear on Wednesday, as we are forecasting periods of rain, with an additional 1-3″ rain possible.  Fortunately, we don’t see a severe weather threat with this system.  Don’t expect temps to move much as they hover in the 60s throughout the day.  By Wednesday night and into Thursday, the rain should taper off a bit. The last day of the year, will have an afternoon high in the lower 60s.

HAPPY NEW YEAR:  Looks like the chance for rain sticks around through Friday. Cloudy skies along with passing showers will keep it cooler with highs only in the mid-50s. Then for the first weekend of 2016, expect abundant sunshine to return and even colder weather. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the lower 50s for most locations across South-Central Alabama. Overnight lows will be near freezing. As we continue into next week, sunshine and seasonal temperatures are expected with highs in the lower 60s, with overnight lows in the 30s.
