City Hosts Inaugural New Year’s Eve Butterfly Drop in Selma
From the West Alabama Newsroom– Selma city leaders want residents to kick off the New Year in the city’s entertainment district.
Everyone in Selma and Dallas County is being invited to ring in 20-16 at the inaugural New Year’s Eve Butterfly Drop at the St. James Hotel.
The celebration features food and drinks — music — and live entertainment.
Plus — Mayor George Evans will be taking on all challengers — in the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? dance-off against the mayor.
“They need to come with something. They can’t just come out there and show up. They’re going to have to bring some game with them and some steps with them in order to win,” said Evans.
“You got the Nae-nae and all that out there, I may have the Mayor-mayor dance or something like that, I don’t know, but we’re going to do something.”
