Colder Weather to Start 2016
NEW YEAR’S EVE: For tonight, the better chance for rain will shift toward southern most counties, while central and northern areas remain cloudy but dry. Temperatures will be dropping. You will probably need the jacket as the weather will be turning chilly. By midnight, we are forecasting temperatures to be in the upper 40s.
NEW YEAR’S DAY: To start 2016, expect temperatures mainly in the low to mid-40s. Clouds will once again be in the Alabama sky, and even a few scattered showers will be possible as well mainly south. Tomorrow will be much cooler with afternoon highs only in the lower 50s.
WEEKEND: An area of high pressure settles over the region for several days. This will provide us sunny, dry, and much cooler conditions for a change. Afternoon highs will be in the lower and mid 50s Saturday and Sunday, while morning lows will be near freezing through at least Tuesday.
Happy New Year !
