Troy Elementary Receives Grant for 3-D Animal Targets

Troy Elementary students are learning everything they need to know about archery and bow hunting thanks to a new grant for 3-D animal targets.
The $2,800 grant was awarded from the Troy Education Foundation and enhances the school’s archery program by providing a real life feel for hunting. Before their new 3-D animal targets, students used regular targets.
“We’re real proud that our school system allows us to have this in our program and we just feel like its an enhancement for all of our students here,” says archery coach Forrest Lee.
Lee says over 12o students from Troy City Schools will compete at a regional archery tournament in Ozark in March.
