Primaries are getting closer. But what are church leaders looking for in the next president? Someone they can identify with? or not?
Our political analyst Steve Flowers says the evangelical vote is very important in Iowa an Alabama. He says its almost been the reason that people elected win the Iowa caucus.
Alabama’s primary election is March 1st and some church leaders already know exactly what qualities they want n their next president.
“We’re looking and listening for the strongest voice who can lead us and heal us…and return us back to righteousness,” says Willie Blackmon of New Life Christian Church.
Church leaders say their vote towards an evangelical candidate always matters no matter the outcome of the race. They encourage anyone voting to look closely at the principles in which candidates stand for.
