Residents Unhappy with Conditions at Troy Apartment Complex

Several people are speaking out about what they believe to be poor conditions at a Troy apartment complex. They say the issues have been going for a long time and its time something is done.

“This is getting way out of hand and I pay over five hundred dollars for rent for an apartment that I don’t even want to stay in,” says Cheyenne Nickelson.

Nickelson has lived at the Grove for a year and in that time she hasn’t been happy about its conditions ranging from utility overages. and roach infestation.

“They came and sprayed at least two or three times for my roommate when she went up there and then once more when I went up there and said something and it just got worse.”

One student posted a video of what he says was a bug infested mattress. That video went viral and now other students are taking to social media in hope of getting some changes.

“We were trying to gather a case-like a collective suit against The Grove for all the utility charges that they put on our accounts because we knew that they weren’t legitimate  and every time someone spoke out against them they would call us and try to bully us into being silent,” Haley Baggett.

Asset campus Housing, a new company working with the Grove say their job is to resolve any issues that tenants are currently having.

While the complex wants to help. People who live here say their patience is running thin.
