Rewards Offered in Car Theft Cases

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers reports that two local car dealerships are each offering $1,000 rewards for information in two recent car thefts.

On November 7th, a spokesman from Montgomery’s Capitol Chevrolet says Adrian Lewis, 23, provided false documents and information to the dealership in an attempt to buy a Chevrolet Camero. By the time the information was found to be false, Lewis and the vehicle was gone.

The car has since been recovered, but Lewis has yet to be apprehended. Police say he will be charged with Theft of Property 1st once he is arrested. Capitol Chevrolet is offering a $1000 cash reward, through Central Alabama Crime Stoppers, for any information that leads to his arrest.

In a similar case, C&H Auto Sales is offering the same reward for information on a theft from their dealership.

Police reports show that Chrishaunda Brown, 36, provided false documents and information to C&H Auto Sales in an attempt to purchase a vehicle. By the time the information was found to be false, Brown and the vehicle was gone.

The vehicle in this case has also been recovered, but Brown is also still on the loose. She is wanted for Theft by Deception 1st degree. C&H Auto Sales has placed a $1000 reward for her arrest be paid through Central Alabama Crime Stoppers.
