Tomorrow will be Alabama’s second annual missing person’s day.. For Law Enforcement the hope is to find answers for Alabama families with missing loved ones.
The event brings law enforcement and family members with missing loved-ones from across the state together in one place. All in hopes of bringing loved ones home. Law enforcement officials from several different agencies will learn how to better investigate missing persons cases. Families will also bring photos, personal information and other family members to be re-swabbed for DNA.
“We want to be able to find out what happened, and, if there is someone responsible for the person’s death to be able to bring them into court and prosecute that case so that the families can get some since of justice,” says Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey.
The conference is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 8:30.
Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange will be among those in attendance.
