Warmer, then Colder, then Wetter

FOR TONIGHT: Expect another cold night with mainly clear conditions. The winds will begin to lessen after sunset and that will allow temperatures to head towards the upper 20s and lower 30s by tomorrow morning.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY: Gorgeous weather these two days as the forecast remains dry. We should see more sun than clouds both days and we are also going to see our temperatures moderate. We should see afternoon highs return to the lower 60s tomorrow, then mid-60s on Friday; which is right at or just above where they should be this time of year.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: A cold front will move through late Friday night, but with the atmosphere so dry over the state, it should come through in a mostly dry fashion, with some additional clouds possible. Behind the front, expect another surge of cold air to arrive for the weekend. An area of high pressure will be the main player in our forecast for the weekend, which means we will see sunny conditions Saturday, but it will be colder with a high only in the lower 50s, and a chilly, brisk north wind. A very cold night is expected Saturday night, we will drop well down into the mid and upper 20s, followed by another sunny and chilly afternoon Sunday with highs only in the mid lower and mid-50s. The weather begins to change rapidly late Sunday as a storm system develops to our west and we will see increasing clouds Sunday night.

RAIN RETURNS, THEN WARMER: Monday looks to be a rather raw day with periods of rain and a high in the 50s. After Monday, much better weather is expected along with a warming trending and we should turn considerably warmer by late next week, with afternoon highs rising back into those soothing 60s and perhaps heading towards those 70s. Much of next week looks to be dry and mainly sunny as well.
