County Road 4 will connect to U.S. Highway 82.
The Chamber of Commerce hopes opening this corridor will attract manufacturers to the Prattville/ Autauga area.
They are hoping automotive, aerospace and information technology industries will come. The city also hopes to recruit 500 to 1,000 or more future jobs.
However, one resident is concerned about how this project will work out.

Jon Lee Finnegan voiced her concerns at the city council meeting Tuesday evening. “Everyday in the paper, all you see is how bad the economy is, talking about the world economy. And yes, its nice to present this. But will they come? After all the expense?”
“It is a big expenditure for the city and county. We certainly recognize that. But in order to be ready, you sometimes have to be ready and take that step,” said Amy Brabham, Economic Development Director with the Chamber of Commerce.
