Auburn women’s tennis opens with No. 11 Oklahoma State in Blue Gray National Tennis Classic

AUBURN, Ala. (auburntigers.com) – Auburn women’s tennis (11-1) will travel to Montgomery, Ala. to face off against No. 11 Oklahoma State in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic on Friday at 10 a.m.

The Blue Gray National Tennis Classic is an annual, six team tournament in Montgomery which some of the top teams in the nation compete. Joining Auburn will be No. 28 Alabama, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 10 Pepperdine, Princeton and No. 58 Texas.

Auburn women’s tennis is coming off of two home wins against North Florida and Georgia Southern. With the win against North Florida, Lauren Spencer became the all-time winningest coach in Auburn women’s tennis history.

Senior Pleun Burgmans picked up her 94th career doubles victory against Georgia Southern and passes Emily Flickinger for the all-time lead in doubles victories at Auburn. Burgmans is now 14 wins away from becoming the all-time leader in combined victories in singles and doubles.

All matches will be played in Montgomery, Ala. at Lagoon Tennis Center.
