Police Search for Suspect in Troy Shooting

At approximately 12:40 am the Troy Police Department responded to the 200 Block of Dunbar Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers found a 28 year old black male inside a residence that had been shot in the chest. Paramedics from Haynes Ambulance and the Troy Fire Department responded to the scene and the victim was airlifted to a Montgomery hospital.

Troy Police Detectives arrived to process the scene and begin their investigation into the events that led to the shooting.

Detectives obtained a warrant on 22-year old black male Samuel Earl Crawford of Troy for shooting into an occupied dwelling and attempted murder. Crawford is approximately 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. Crawford is considered armed and extremely dangerous and the Troy Police Department request that anyone that may know where Crawford is or come in contact with him to call the Troy Police Department immediately at 334-566-0500 or on the secret witness line at 334-566-5555.

This case remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
