Woman Arrested and Charged with Sexually Abusing a Teen

Court records show a woman accused of sexually abusing a teenager has been arrested in Alabama.

54-year-old Victoria Juanice Hollaway was arrested Thursday for her sexually abusing the victim who was under the age of 16. A Shelby County grand jury indicted Hollaway in January on three felony charges of sodomy, sexual abuse and electronic solicitation of a child.

Court records show that the crimes occurred for nearly two weeks in July last year. The indictment alleges Hollaway intentionally engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim.

The indictment also says Hollaway communicated with the victim through text messages and cellphone calls.

Hollaway is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $65,000 bond.

Hollaway has previous convictions for felony drug possession and misdemeanor assault.
