Troy Animal Rescue Project Volunteers Speak Out on Animal Abuse
Volunteers with Troy Animal Rescue Project are speaking up about animal abuse.
One volunteer has recently fostered a dog found wandering the streets of Pike County. When found, she says the dog-now named hope was malnourished and leary of interaction from people. Right now, new legislation could change penalties for animal abuse. House Bill 193 would entail harsher charges and require offenders to get a psych evaluation and counseling.
“There’s no reason for her to be dumped or left on the street or left in her case she was left in a house and not fed.”
