Several Demonstrate Peace in Memory of Greg Gunn
It was a sad day for many family and friends of Greg Gunn.
They started the day gaining support from the community in the Mobile Heights area remembering a man they say was a hard worker and a man of morals. Several gathered on McElvy Street this morning where signs line the neighborhood stating “Justice for Greg.”
Supporters walked part of the Mobile Heights community singing hymns and chanting “No Justice, No Peace.” They say its their way of getting their voices heard with hopes that all violence will stop. Friends that knew Greg say they had nothing but good memories of him and hope that justice will prevail going forward.
“He walked as a leader. He never looked down on nobody and he would do whatever he can to try to help you,” says Wayne Howard.
“Our families grew up together here in Mobile Heights.” “Greg was one of the better people you would want to know. Greg was a honest respectful person,” says William Singleton.
Gunn’s funeral service was held shortly after that peaceful walk.
