Troy Businesswoman Announces District 4 Candidacy for City Council

Troy businesswoman, Stephanie Baker launched her campaign for a City Council in District 4 this week. Right now, Baker is a spokesperson for KW Plastics in Troy.

She is seeking the district 4 seat held by current councilman John Witherington. He is retiring after serving district 4 for over 30 years. She says local residents say they want to celebrate Troy’s history in the downtown area more and bring more tourism to the community.

“I don’t know if there are a whole lot of changes that I would bring in terms of doing something very differently than what he has done, but certainly I think there’s an opportunity that we can enhance the work that he has begun.” says Baker.

Troy’s Municipal Election is set for August 23rd.
