Forecast cancels Tuskegee, LeMoyne-Owen baseball series
TUSKEGEE, Ala. (goldentigersports.com) — Due to the rain that has already fallen and the projected rain to fall over the next 24 to 48 hours in the Memphis area, the baseball series with LeMoyne-Owen College has been cancelled this weekend.
Tuskegee and LeMoyne-Owen were to set to begin a three-games series on Saturday afternoon, and no make-up date has been set as of this afternoon.
Since midnight last night, the area has seen 3.74 inches of rain and has seen 8.16 inches of rain since the storm system started pushing through on Wednesday. The system has caused widespread flooding through its path through Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee; and it not expected to move out of the area until late Sunday.
The Golden Tigers will now return to action Wednesday on the road against Georgia Southwestern State University.
