WETUMPKA HOUSE FIRE
An Elmore County family is picking up the pieces after a fire earlier this month destroyed their home.
The family lived in the home along with four children.
The fire started just before 9 a.m. two weeks ago.
Fire crews have no idea what started the blaze but luckily no one was there at the time…now they are separated staying with friends as they try to move forward.

Krista Morse said, “They look at it as there’s got to be a light at the end of the tunnel, there’s got to be something good out of this.”

Something good coming out of all of this- the community outpouring. The family says Elmore County schools have rallied around them. You can donate clothes and other necessities to Elmore County High School.
