Greenville Police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a burglary suspect.
On February 23, police received a call about a possible break-in. Police discovered the QV station on Fort Dale Road had been broken into. Once security tapes were reviewed, a man could be seen breaking the glass door, walking up to the counter, grabbing two register drawers, then leaving the scene.
Police have not identified the man, but other similar cases in Conecuh and Lowndes Counties lead them to believe the crimes may be connected or multiple people may be involved.
“That’s one of those things where you tend to think there probably has been other cases just hadn’t come to light yet,” said Police Chief Lonzo Ingram. “But we’ll certainly work with any agency who has similar crimes occur, we’d be glad to work with them, try to share information with them. So we can all work together to get these people… To get this case solved.”
Ingram asked that anyone who may know the man to call the Greenville Police Criminal Investigations Division at (334) 382-7461.
