Arrest Made in Missing Clarke Co. Woman’s Death

IMG_0048A missing woman’s body was found in Clarke County, in the trunk of a car.

Monique Presnall-Kidd of Grove Hill, AL, was found dead behind a business in the Walker Springs Community. She was reported missing Thursday when she didn’t show up to work. When deputies went to check on her, they found her door had been kicked in and her house had been burglarized.

She was found Sunday evening in the trunk of a her own car that was stolen during the break-in. Authorities say that she had been dead for a few days before her body was discovered.

Clarke County sheriffs department have charged D.J. Harris with charged with two counts of capital murder, one count during rape and one count during the course of a burglary.

Harris strangled Presnall-Kidd during the raping, which was ultimately the cause of her death.

Police have another man in custody as well. Cedric Hunt has been charged with hindering prosecution and helping to move the body.

Both men are in custody at the Clarke County Jail.
