Former Alabama Football Star Kevin Turner Laid To Rest

Prattville native and former Alabama football player Kevin Turner was laid to rest Sunday at Hunter Hills Church of Christ.

Turner played in the NFL for the Eagles and the Patriots.

In 2010 he was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Turner founded the Kevin Turner Foundation to raise awareness of concussions in sports and ALS.

Family, friends, former teammates and several members of the football community including Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gathered to pay their respects.
