Across the country, many churches start their Easter morning with sunrise services, but in Troy, one church celebrates differently.

Burning Bush Cowboy Church held their service outdoors. Members say its all about being simple and getting back to the basics. Alvie Walker and his wife started the church last January in Troy. Others have joined them for service in cowboy hats, boots, jeans, and of course their bibles. They say they’re encouraging others to come as you are.

“It’s kind of like a family atmosphere. You just can  fellowship at the same time, you’re more relaxed,” says Priscilla Walker.

Services for Burning Bush Cowboy Church are held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday mornings.

It’s located next to the Cattleman’s Arena on Highway 231 South.
