We are in a lull of the storm activity but storms in MS are moving eastward.  Looks like showers and t-storms moving in from the west during the evening hours.  Some of the storms may be strong to severe. Threats: damaging winds, lightning, very heavy rain, and possibly a few tornadoes. All this unsettled weather will be taking place ahead of a cold front sitting just west of the MS river.  This will keep us in an unstable air mass conducive to severe storms.  We will remain in this pattern through Friday evening.  A concern with this prolonged storm activity is heavy rainfall. We could still be looking at 2 to 4 inch rainfall amounts over parts of Central and South AL.  All this wet weather shifts east and out of here early Saturday.  We will see decreasing clouds and improving skies Saturday afternoon and Sunday is looking nice and dry.
