Plans for Governor Bentley’s impeachment continue to move forward.
State Representative Ed Henry called for Governor Bentley’s impeachment Tuesday after the allegations surfaced of an inappropriate relationship with his top aide, but everyone doesn’t agree with him.
We found people on both sides of the issue.
Brianne Pierson says, “I have no problem with him doing with whatever he wants to do behind closed doors, that’s his business. They need to focus on more important things than what people do.”
Herbert Bell says, “I don’t know what happened, but if he did what they say he did, then he should be impeached. If he didn’t do it, then they ought to leave him alone, but from the sounds of it, and what he’s saying and how he’s trying to explain himself, I believe he’s guilty.”
That impeachment bill will now likely go to the House Rules Committee, where it faces an uncertain future.
