A few years ago the state was named the second most obese in the country. That was a wake up call for the river region. A health and wellness task force was created. The task force is hosting an inaugural Walk at lunch day next Wednesday at the River Walk. Doctors and personal trainers will be there to educate, and screen people for high blood pressure and diabetes. The Walk at Lunch Day is free and open to the public.
